Where we first saw the heart of God for the broken and forgotten.

Honduras

Since our founding in San Pedro Sula, Honduras in 2009, we have aimed to reach the most forgotten and vulnerable populations around the world. This is where we began: a small community full of need and hurt longing for the hope offered through Jesus. Over the past 17 years, Sparrow Missions has seen ministry grow and flourish in the most unlikely places. See how we disciple, develop, and work toward community transformation.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

In Honduras, ministry is happening in everyday life. From kids Bible classes and youth groups to women's discipleship and neighborhood service projects, Sparrow Missions is woven into the rhythm of the Rancho Bonito community—meeting needs, building relationships, and pointing people to Christ.

CHURCH PLANTING

We believe the local church is God’s plan for lasting change in communities. Through Kainos Church in Rancho Bonito and Sublime Gracia Church in Villanueva, we share the Gospel, disciple families, and create spaces of hope. Communities full of legalism and shame are experiencing the life-saving power of the Gospel.

EDUCATION

We believe that education

opens doors for a child's future. At Sparrow Academy, we

offer Christ-centered, holistic learning and mentorship, helping students grow academically and spiritually while equipping them with the tools to break the cycles of poverty and step into God’s purpose for their lives.

EQUIPPING LEADERS

Local leaders are often the most well-positioned to reach their communities. They know the culture, the language, and they know the hearts of their friends and neighbors. In Honduras, we invest in the next generation of Honduran leaders, equipping them through discipleship and mentorship to carry the mission forward.

Rancho Bonito

Our Communities

Rancho Bonito

The Bordos riverside villages in San Pedro Sula are among the city’s most dangerous and impoverished areas. In Bordo El Pedregal, over 400 families once lived under the shadow of gangs with little hope for the future. Sparrow Missions entered this community with a clear purpose: to bring the hope of Christ and plant seeds of lasting transformation.

On the outskirts of San Pedro Sula, San Eduvijes is a community shaped by legalism. We began with kids outreach and are now seeing lives transformed through our church plant.
